This experience was my first interaction with an external Accounts Payable Audit firm. My desire was to evaluate the functionality of our ERP system accounting controls since its recent implementation several years earlier. The end results were much better than I expected as the level of charge backs versus total payables was identified as "well below the industry standard" with only one duplicate payment observed during the audit period scope which was external to the ERP system control. The professional interaction between CCG employees, our suppliers and our employees was exemplary. The Management Report provided upon completion of the process was a well defined executive summary of the process identifying the results, areas for improvements with clearly defined observations and recommendations. I thoroughly enjoyed the engagement!

However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that your staff worked independently and really did take very little of my department's time. Capital Conservation has been engaged twice by High Point Regional Health System to perform reviews on the Accounts Payable function. Both times these reviews have generated recoveries as well as provided new procedures to avoid future recovers for the same purpose. Items to be reviewed as well as those to be excluded from the audit were identified at the time of contract signing to avoid any disagreements with recovers and billings.
The staff that was assigned was professional and easy to work with. They did not disrupt the normal daily work routine. When required, meetings were set up to discuss any issues that needed review or decisions.

CCG has been very helpful in recovering money from overpayments to vendors and also recovering overpayments of sales and use tax. They were accomodating in educating on tax legislations and have been very active in resolving these issues with our vendors.
